Hang Seng drop -- hiccup or not?

Hang Seng down about 2 percent as I write (halfway through the session). Harbinger? Contagion for US stocks? Any effect on independent classes like crypto?

 

nothing abnormal.
It has been dropping for the past 4 days (or rather since July 2021).

China has been scrutinizing those big Chinese companies.
Lately, there are lots of big news about Evergrande, Macao gambling things ...

 

Finished down -1.46%. Bigger than typical but not end of the world.

 

up it goes massively by 6% for today

copper and gold also goes up in tandem with Hangseng.
