True enough...but for those of us around in the crash of 07-08, the upside rips were quicker and "cleaner" than the downside chop...Not that I traded much from the longside back then, but I always felt that it was an easier trade psychologically if one were to simply play it that way and get out without enduring hours/days of "rolling chop" lower that would try and shake one out dozens of times along the way... In many ways the past month has been similar, just at a fraction of the volatility...so RM has a very valid point, even if it is sarcastic at times.
