I quit buying GE products years ago. They kept dealing with Iran after the sanctions and got the government to look the other way. Their consumer products are junk anymore and I don't like or trust Immelt.
I want to quit buying GE too but there is a problem. Last year I needed to replace both of my refrigerators. In certain sizes you almost have to buy GE and they make such a good 'frig its just impossible to boycott them. I'm finding this out all over the place with chinese products. I must be the worst boycotter on the planet. Once something is prolific enough its not possible to boycott it. Take Boeing for instance.
Both are oddball sizes and one had to be stainless. Believe me I didn't want to send money to Jeff Immelt but I didn't want to redo the cabinetry in my kitchens either.
