    NYSE & Euronext (already news)

    Speculation:
    • CME & NYMEX (already friendly with NYMEX planning to list products on Globex)
    • Nasdaq & LSE (Nasdaq has around a 25% stake in the LSE already, would be a highly leveraged deal)
    • Deutsche Boerse & ?
    • Eurex & ?
    • CBOT & (maybe some of the regional grain exchanges)?

    Any thoughts?

Best quote from the article (regarding COMEX electronic trading rights)......

The Financial Times quoted an unnamed NYMEX shareholder saying that COMEX had been asking for $300 million to $400 million for their trading rights, which the shareholder reportedly said was "crazy... They should be paying us as they are losing market share."
