Study: Sinking land, not rising seas, a bigger worry First, the good news: Sea levels around the Chesapeake Bay are not rising as quickly as other places in the world - actually, they are moving about half as fast as the global average. Now, the bad news: Coastal lands around the Bay are sinking more rapidly than elsewhere around the planet, especially in Hampton Roads. It is this sinking phenomenon, called subsidence, that makes Hampton Roads one of the spots in the United States most vulnerable to rising sea levels and to events such as flooding, tidal surges and storms. Only New Orleans is more susceptible. http://pilotonline.com/news/local/e...cle_7aecf794-1a6e-5eed-ba0a-3e00af6e78f9.html
The thing is that NOAA recently released its raw data, the actual data collected from sensors not some massaged dry lab analysis. The raw data shows no increase in aggregate global temperature over the last 58 years. No temperature increases means, obviously, no global warming. NOAA has also admitted that the South Pole is *accumulating* ice. The Global Warming Scam has damaged western civilization more than AQ and ISIS combined. The left's predilection to latch onto phony issues like GWS is just a manifestation of liberals belief that they know how you should live better than you do. When confronted they become psychotic and irrational, like futurecurrents.
Actually its quite true and the data does not lie. You cannot attribute something to mankind if that something does not exist in the first place. Global Warming is a complete scam, a redistributive tax scam. The United States is not going to inhibit its growth or industry to satisfy the left's fanaticism. Industry will, however, continue to improve efficiency and emission control but the goal is clean air and clean water not some made-up crisis about temperature.
Nope. Not true. A lie. Try again dumb deluded conservative. (is there any other kind?) Try looking at surface temps...post a chart. You do know how to copy and paste right?..troll.
Way above normal temperatures here in Alberta. Have been for months. Alberta area > Long Island area.
Well, I guess if the ocean can rise in VA, but not rise everywhere else, then we can have global warming in Alberta but not on Long Island.
Good point. Even with the three nearly continuous years of above average temps here in Alberta, it is still, oddly, very cold in my freezer.
