Both CNBC and Yahoo! (and I'm vaguely recalling Google) had portfolio functions that allowed them to be used as paper-trade accounts. That set-up is undoubtedly more wide spread now.

(I used CNBC in econ/macro-econ classrooms 10 years ago. A marvelous theme around which to stir news events, data releases, ect....)

  9. Oanda let’s you set up a practice account real time indefinitely, no need to fund. They’ll let you choose the hypothetical account size and everything. The charting is pretty feature rich for a phone also. I’ve never put in a dime with Oanda(choose IB) but still use their app for mobile charting years later.
