Isn't this close to what these CFD, FX, Spread Betting "brokers" do. Taking the other side of their clients trades, so they can keep it all Entertaining post btw
I don't see the problem with being a bucket shop so long as the bucket shop keeps enough money to pay up to the winners. Casinos are required to keep enough cash on hand to pay out the potential and rare winner, bucket shops should be able to do the same.
but the bucket shops should clearly state that they are pocketing the loss, not deceiving new traders to make them think they are real broker.

Sure. I have long wondered if some of the futures brokers that take small accounts are part time bucket shops.
