Iâm sure many companies will be watching this closely. I canât imagine many of their customers actually paying with Bitcoin though.
this is a good first step, bitcoin still needs to reach critical mass. Currently dish is just converting the bitcoin to usd right away as they cant really use bitcoins. But if for example one of their vendors that make the cable box starts accepting bitcoins, then they can conduct business using btc directly as a currency instead of converting to usd. Thousands of companies around the world has started accepting bitcoins, so significant progress has been made but we are still only a drop in the bucket currently. there is also wall street, once they get involved, you will see a real bubble. Future looks pretty bright for btc though.
