DC shipyard shooting is Clinton's fault!!

  1. Bill Clinton issued an XO forbidding weapon carrying inside the shipyard! The MP's at the front gate were the first and last line of defense. It took hours to find the guy with the sawed-off... Now I think I just heard Obama on NPR reading off the names of the people that died there and saying "we gotta do something"... what a bunch of goddam assholes these liberals are. I can't think of a better term than goddam assholes, if I could I would use it.

Bill Clinton was and will continue to be an asshole liberal. I'm not surprised that his anti gun policies caused more harm than good.

  4. You know what would have worked also? Taking away this nut's guns after the first incident with them and then deny him the ability to buy another one legally, through a background check.

    But right-wing gun-nuts can't think this far.

I noticed in all the news commentary that the progressive pundits don't have a clue regarding military and veterans installations with respect to firearms. They assume that every one there carries a gun just as they did when they covered Major Hasan's killing rampage at Ft. Hood. The idiot Piers Morgan even used the phrase "heavily fortified" when referring to the Navy Shipyard. The reality is that it's a federal offense to carry a firearm in those locations, doesn't matter whether you are current military or not. The only people allowed are either the Military Police guarding the installation or the Veteran Police guarding a VA facility. Which is why the response time takes so long as very few with firearms are tasked with protecting very large areas.

  6. Talking with people here in DC, I came across that same opinion. Among the high and mighty now, so few people have actually been in the military that they have no clue what goes on.

Another disturbing trend in these mass shootings is the police tend to be very careful about going in to stop it. There was a Capitol Police SWAT team on site very early but they were apparently told to stand down. Shades of Benghazi.

I can understand the police not wanting to walk into an ambush, but if unarmed people are being mowed down, seconds count.

Unfortunately Aaron Alexis, the Navy Shipyard killer, passed a gun background check when he legally purchased the shotgun used for most of the shootings. Problem in most states is that the progressives and the ACLU have blocked reportage of state mental health records to the federal agency tasked with running the background checks, as they don't want to "stigmatize" the mentally ill. So all the "expanded" background checks in the world wouldn't have made a difference, just like they wouldn't in almost all of the previous mass shootings. It's more of a feel-good thing so that gun-control nuts and legislators can feel like they are doing something.

    C'mon, it was Bush's fault.

  9. But his mental condition is secondary and beside the point. Twice before he used firearms in an illegal and dangerous manner. At that point he should have been flagged as being unworthy of the right to own guns.
