I want to make sure this gives me three screens with the video cards, and also what do you guys think in terms of performance for trading? I think its enough :).

Thanks guys in advance for your help. Just trying to get set-up.

  2. The specs sound good .. the most important thing for you is going to be network latency if you are trading remotely. ..

  3. If you are spending more than $1000 for a PC and single monitor for remote trading (I assume manual) you are wasting money. Heck you don't even get Excel in that bundle.

Looks like a tremendous rip off to me. I see nothing in that spec list that will add value to your trading.

  4. I am assuming network latency is from the ISP connection. I am using road runner, i believe 5mps, which should suffice. Do you agree?

    Thanks for the comments.

  5. It is a three monitor setup. The extra costs are for the dual video card and the 3 monitors. Thanks for the input

  6. Vista may be an issue as well, best to speak with the tech side at the prop firm to see if the platform will even run on it.

  7. I agree, I planned on calling Monday about that. Considering MSFT is shutting down XP, I would hope the software would be Vista Compliant.

  8. You do realize you can save at least a grand if you build a similar system yourself? If you aren't tech saavy, maybe ask a HS or college student to do it for you for a $100 or 200. $3700 seems a bit steep for that setup. Another option would be to purchase a cheaper dell workstation which you can add video cards yourself.

You would think. I would like to save you a big headache right now, and seriously consider using XP over vista. Don't think of vista as an upgrade, because it really dosent offer any compelling features for traders. In fact many applications are incompatible and or run much slower on vista.

  10. Thats what Ive been hearing, I guess if I need to I can upgrade down the road. Thanks for the heads up.
