commissions IB wants to charge me $1000 for a SINGLE trade

  1. Ok - so I may have not read that fine of a print but it's pretty shocking.

I was interested in purchasing 100,000 shares of a Canadian stock (SCR.TO) and it appears IB wants to charge me $1000 for this trade. Its a simple trade and most online competitors charge $20 or less.

I don't want to go thru the hassle to change yet...but has anyone got ideas of why IB charge so much.....

I'm in Canada currently...and the same trade if it was an american stock - IB would actually charge $500.

What planet is IB on with these commissions lol

A penny per share. That's not reasonable?

They need to improve on the Canadian Side. Definitely need access to the CSE exchange and TSX listed debentures. They're killing with growth though so maybe they will introduce once they have enough scale.

It is when the Shares only cost £0.0005 so £50 ie $65 LOL If I've got the right share price, then I'd suggest not taking this trade LOL

That was kind of my point. But since this is an IBKR subforum, I didn't want to push the issue.
