CBOE said Friday that Alexandra Albright will assume the newly-created post on April 23. She will oversee compliance procedures at CBOE’s exchanges and will report to Chief Operating Officer and President Edward Tilly.

The 40-year-old Albright was a lawyer for the Securities and Exchange Commission from 2001 to 2006, working in the agency’s enforcement group and its division of trading and markets. She later worked in private practice.
