Those guys were dumb to stop their losses short on that. BAD move. Dudes, fossil fuels will be here for the rest of everyone's life time. Renewables CANNOT WORK! The energy needs of this planet will never be met by renewables. You MUST use fossil fuels to meet these needs!

  4. Interesting article
It’s impossible for BlackRock to avoid fossil fuel/Dirty energy stocks altogether though. Especially when they were counting indexes and stocks like GE as a dirty energy company

I read the linked report and it has some problems. Yes, Black Rock hung on to absolutely crap losers like General Electric - rode them all the way down. But GE’s troubles are hardly confined to fossil generating power. Not by a long shot. Jeffrey Immelt had a sixteen year string of disastrous mergers and acquisitions that sunk the Company and in every business that GE was or is involved in. And the report doesn’t adequately make that distinction.

Be careful - journalists are looking EVERYWHERE for “wokeness”

Exactly, until we are taking large commercial flights on solar powered aircraft. Power will come from the traditional earth fuels.
I am surprised how many "intelligent" people think they are cutting dependence from hydrocarbons by going to electric cars.
Its a game, your switching your small local power plant, your engine, over to the electricity grid powered by power plants using earth fuels. The more demand for electricity, the more demand for power, the more demand for hydrocarbons.
It might get tougher for refineries in the long run, but I think until we have a nationwide charging network, they have no worries.

Is nuclear considered clean or dirty?

Clean. GE is out of nuclear - sold to Hitachi. Even when they had nuclear it was less than 1% of their revenues. And the BWR design has a few negatives from an practical operational consideration.

  10. Fuck Fink... Icahn warned him to stay away from china, now him and dalio are gonna have yuge loses when asset prices crater in china's collapse, x6 to x10 more liabilities then assets in banking system, I wonder what impact it'll have once re-pricing occurs =)

Larry's days as a investor are soon done, time to retire let young bucks take over... He had a hall of fame career, few giant miss steps will cost anyone tho
