Sounds all great and nicely conforming to trickle down economics, but nothing can shield us from looking at the economic facts: a few who are so filthy rich, way beyond anything even intelligent and educated humans can classify as deserved or proportionate to the efforts put in by the working class. And a large part of society that has lost all motivation to work and try hard because it's just not worth it. Not because there is free and easy money to be had by doing nothing but because the opportunities are nowadays so incredibly limited to climb up the ladder. When even 70k annual salaries cannot pay for a mediocre life style anymore then something is seriously wrong in our system. When with all the taxation there is still not enough money to provide better healthcare and cheaper education and better infrastructure then someone is sucking money out of the system which harms everyone else. The biggest lie of today's time is that holding the wealthiest responsible to pay their fair share makes them take their business elsewhere. Let's see where they go if North American markets were shut down to them for non compliance with a fair share wealth distribution agreement. They will all stay, I have not doubt about it

    Self sustained?
BTW, why is medicine so expensive? Are doctors qualified as "rich" in US? What about Canada?

The ultra rich own the politicians and view the working class with nothing but contempt. Together they form the most powerful crime syndicate in the history of the planet. There is nothing that will change this short of Bolshevik revolution 2.0...Everything else is just crying on the computer.

Bernie Sanders is a joke. And if you have not noticed it yet, he has enriched himself while, working in Congress. Now, if he put up a business with employees and put his monies where his mouth is, he will find how hard it really is in real life to start a business and deal with the numerous regulations put out by politicians as himself and multiple taxes he has to pay. He has been wheeling and dealing like every other politician in Congress. And he would not have gotten rich from his salaries in Congress alone even if he were in Congress 40 years. He is the typical leech politician in Congress. Too bad the FBI and DOJ are not doing their jobs. These politicians who have enriched themselves from both parties should have been charged multiple times and in jail already for all they have done.

Keep pretending that some people would still work even if they don't need to out of a feeling of fulfilment or obligation to their fellow man. If you gave $70k to every person, a lot of people would simply stop working. (Let's pretend that there would be no immediate inflation...rents and food costs would not double or triple overnight due to the simple, universal economic law of supply and demand. Assume that somehow prices remained unchanged.) Most people prefer leisure over work and are highly biased by short-term instant gratification (if they weren't, credit card companies would not be able to charge 20% APR on interest). We're seeing that now. Amazes me that people were shocked we have a labor shortage when government pays people more not to work.

Agree with you though on the corrupt politicians. Term limits would help. No one should be able to stay on congress longer than I have been alive. Won't happen though. Politicians won't vote to give up power. I don't even blame the politicians. I blame the people who elect them and don't hold them accountable. There will always be bad people. There should be enough good people to remove them from power. People get the govt they deserve.

Really? How has he enriched himself like the other cronies? He earned a salary that is offered to you if anyone had voted for you. You really wanna shit on the only honest guy you have left in American politics? Go ahead...

Bernie Sanders has how many houses now? 3 houses? He was poor when he entered Congress. Did you see the sports car he was driving that was worth $200,000 atleast? He was flaunting it. This guy is not poor. He is a full out Socialist living off the hard work of others. Even I can dole out monies if it does not come out of my pockets. Take your head out of your ass and smell the stink! I am sure there is probably, atleast, 1 honest politician in Congress but, his name is not Bernie Sanders. A good number of politicians from both parties have net worths of $150 million-$250 million a piece. Do not tell me it came out of their salaries even if they worked 40 years. Are you really that dumb?

You blame them, but should we not start blaming ourselves? I named the only one guy who would have fought for the ordinary people and is the last honest man standing. He was there up for voting. People rather gave their votes to Hillary or Donald. Guess people deserve their lives from the choices they make.
