Just wondering which FX broker you guys think is the best. I am looking for one that has relatively cheap execution costs and at the same time safe (ie. won't go bankrupt tmrw). Leverage isn't a big problem.... 40-50:1 is good enough for me. I currently use IB, I like it but I read on a lot of forums ppl say that IB sucks for FX... any opinions?
For a record, IB has some of the best Forex commissions in the industry (at least, as far as retail accounts are concerned). Where IB is more expensive (for smaller positions) is overnight (rollover) rates. If these are a concern, you can try FXCM, MB Trading or others...
In addition to IB, FXCM, MB Trading (all of whom accept institutional customers) look into HotspotFX. If you are interested in larger volume than these can offer, send an enquiry to Reuters (they have a standalone foreign exchange platform) and/or Currenex.
