If he means what he says, it is not too late to start charging these execs so that they can get a chance to explain themselves in a Law Court. Bernanke, himself could create an association that could start sueing the execs who abused their positions. It looks to me he is trying to tidy up his image, as he says "Every time I saw a bumper sticker which said, 'Where's my bailout?' it hurt,".
How many did? I thought none. I thought exactly the same. Crocodile tears. Next he will be volunteering at the nearest food pantry.
BAAAAWAAAA freaking moron, greenspan and bernake should be the first and second, yet most at the Fed call Fuld a genius, Cain a cool pot smoking hipster and Blankfein doing god's work... lairs, thieves and, really, enemies of the people.
bernanke is actually quoted saying that, is that so????? Wow, people actually think bernanke saved wall street ?? HAHAHAHAHA just be patient and see what all his worthless QE and TARP and printing trillions of dollars has done in due time....only a dumb fool would believe the crisis is over
Once the crisis comes to more of a head they will blame greedy capitalist and intervene more and more to stiffle Americans ... Economic fascism
They create "solutions" to the problems that they created in the first place...It is such as mind****, that the conventional wisdom is that this is an acceptable policy...How many threads have we read where posters on here defend Bernanke's 7-year ZIRP as an acceptable response to Greenspan's recklessness with interest rates in the post dot.com era...Now we hear the same about Yellen and her decisions to not raise rates a mere 25 bps...
I would like to believe someone must have created a chart that tracks the performance of S&P 500, Unemployment Ratio, and Inflation levels all layed out against each of the Fed Chairman' timelines over the past 2 decades. IMO, SP500 uptrend would not be anything to get excited about, but key indicators of ecomony like Inflation and Unemployment would clearly show history of when Fed was at its best.
