He was never a trader. Just a wannabe. My opinion is based on his neglect of studying trading where he obviously failed before making the choice to deviate to a life of crime, unless he already had that plan in mind before he began trading, in which case then it's possible his current 'aborted by mandate' effort to become a trader might be his first sincere try at trading ...after giving up on his life of crime. He should be permitted to try trading again if he wants to. It might enable him to repay what he stole from others.
