OK, I'll admit I didn't watch too much of it. Life is too short, etc. I saw all I needed to hand out awards however. Note: this post will be entirely in English, which is probably a hate crime, but so is presenting Rachel Maddow as a legitimate journalist. The Awards 1. Most Unimpressive Performance. This is a tough one, I mean how can you fairly single out one person in a stage full of mediocrities and frauds? Luckily for me, one person did stand out as so singularly unqualified and in over his head, that it was an obvious pick. The final choice was between, Beto, a pretend mexican who does speak spanish and Castro, a Mexican affirmative action joke who does not even speak passable Spanish. The award however goes to the Beta Male. Can you imagine this guy running a National Security Council meeting? Dealing with Putin or Rocketman? 2. Biggest Fraud. Another category with numerous strong contenders, but two stand out. One obviously is the fake Indian, Warren. The other is the fake black guy, Spartacus Booker. Booker tries to project this ghetto image but his parents were IBM execs and he went to Stanford and Yale. Warren's entire career is built on a lie. It's hard to top that, so she takes home the prize. 3. Dumbest. Unlike many of the others, this one is clear cut. We actually had a candidate in a dem primary debate before an audience of leftwing anti-gun zealots and animal rights wackos talk about how careful she would be to preserve her uncle's right to be well-armed in his deer stand. Kloubachar has developed the rep as a dim bulb and she confirmed it last night. Honorable mention to Inslee, who assured the audience he would prevent Miami from flooding. 4. Most Frightening. While the proposals from all of them were hair-raising, this category is more concerned with personal characteristics. It was a pretty easy choice, since most of the men were diminutive beta males and the women were elderly school teacher types. One guy however would clearly be in organized crime if not politics, although admittedly the dividing line is quite narrow. Hint: his sole qualification seemed to be that he is married to a black woman. That's right, DiBlasio, a guy who has wrecked NYC and is under some delusion that normal voters will take to his thuggishness. 5. Best Post-Debate Poll Hack. Commentators were shocked by the runaway winner of the Drudge poll, not least because she barely spoke during the debate. But our surfer girl Tulsi won nearly half the votes in the Drudge poll. Or maybe war with Iran is not as popular as claimed. 6. Least Likely To Succeed. There can be only one. Nominee that is. But one guy stood out to me as an absolute lock to be soundly ignored if not rejected by primary voters. He certainly was avoided by the mods. Delaney has handicaps that no mortal dem candidate can overcome. He's white, he's male, he was a success in business, he is not obviously insane, he has some ideas that are not insane, he would actually be marginally credible. Obviously he has no shot. I am sorry to confess that I missed something extraordinary that invalidates one of my awards. It must have happened during the 99.6% of the time I was watching something else. Anyway, I must revoke the award to Sen. Kloubachar for dumbest. On second thought, maybe I should add an award for Most Idiotic PC Statement. Whatever, the mexican who can't speak Spanish wins it.
