Attractive Canadian Stocks

  1. If some of you are considering to diversify outside of US, check out these solid dividend-paying stocks.

    1) Most Canadian Banks (BMO, TD, RBC)
    - I will wait until they are down to pre-rally level from a few months ago.
    - A bit over-heated in the banking sector, but if you like yield, go for it.

    2) iShare Canadian ETFs
    - XRE (iShare REITs), yield 5.5% - ish for the last 4 quarters
    - XTR (iShare income trust), yield 7.23% -ish for the last 4 quarters

    3) Traditional Sectors
    - utility companies like Transalta (TA), Fortis (FA)
    - metal companies like Russell Metals (RUS)

    4) Other financial companies like IGM (IGM), Manulife (MFC, Power Corporation (POW), Sunlife (SLF), Great-West Life (GWO)

    5) Communication
    - BCE, Telus, Shaw (they all pay decent dividends)

It's time to GET PAID for holding these stocks. They can be a part of your portfolio during this turbulent time.

    Happy Investing!
