  4. Max E.

    Max E.

Congratulations. As a self proclaimed genius it must make you feel incredibly smart that both Rachel Maddow, AND Ed Schultz support your opinion. You still have yet to explain what went wrong in this liberal utopia given the fact that you have boldly proclaimed that progressives "run every facet of this nation"

I can only hope that at some point Glenn Beck joins the party, so we can have a true "meeting of the minds," and we can all sit around and sing kumbaya while we make smores over a camp fire.

  10. While you do have to give credit where credit is due (Obama does get credit for Bin Laden), neither has done a very good job at protecting American's most cherished liberties at home. Both swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution and both launched massive attacks at the safeguards in that document.

Bush laid the groundwork but Obama has taken it to a whole new level. Apparently, the President will not be vetoing the NDAA since he was the one that asked for the ability to detain American citizens indefinitely and without even access to a lawyer....unless this guy is lying:

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PLiKvSz_wX8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

What you folks need to realize is this, the passage of this bill, marks then end of America as a free nation. The right to challenge your detention, which, as far as I know has been a pillar of Western law since the signing of the Magna Carta, will be gone for anyone who is SUSPECTED of either supporting or being a terrorist. With the definition of that word sufficiently watered down to basically include anyone who might espouse ideas that run counter to our government's goals, well, like I said, this is the end game.

The president has already claimed the authority to assassinate any US citizen without proof of wrongdoing on his say so. Now, this bill codifies what the President (both Bush and Obama) have been doing since 9/11. Unlike the Patriot Act, there is no sunset provision in this bill.

So, while it's nice to play the my guy killed more terrorists than your guy game, it really misses the point of what both guys have done to this once great nation.
