Big Navi will (only) compete with the 3080 series from NVDA. Major disappointment on the GPU-side of the business.

    Buy NVDA/short AMD. $-neutral.

Pardon my ignorance, but what chart is that? Is your plan related to a day trade tomorrow only?

I'm short NVDA. If you're right, I guess I'll have to cover tomorrow.

No, it has nothing to do with a day-trade. It's a pairs trade long NVDA, short AMD. I normalized (ratioed) it to show a close to $-neutral chart.

Good luck. CPU-wise Intel has nothing coming anytime soon. Even if AMD Ryzen next gen is only mildly better, it's still enough.

  9. im long intc and short amd just collecting 3 % dividend until something happens. get on board it held up great in the last sell off. if you look at my thread titled pairs trades i mentioned it last week been in it for a few months now. I am also out of the short tesla long nkla trade i mentioned that just the other day when they both did the unthinkable on the same day! very rare normally one will work and one wont but for both to just smash it perfectly its almost like I knew about GM having interest huh?

Well that aspect of it called RISK ARBITRAGE and if you learn about that aspect of trading and you keep up with the news and filings then you can do pretty well with RISK ARBITRAGE ivan BOESKY wrote a good book about it but it is not without its own pitfalls and risk but can be highly lucrative aka "AIMT" i would think there are lots of public companies lookng to be bought out in certain industries aka oil. now you can spend a few hours charting them just randomly which can reveal some nuggets or you could start to put lists together depending on financials and debt right. then work on those looking for charts that show some real take over movement.

We already know for a fact that both microsoft and walmart are both desperate to get into the social media game! they just told us in the news. so i would start there and work backwards and possibly look at other ADR from other countries and see what you come up with yeah it is work but then again making money is never easy.

why social media well it has been proven that once people get comfy with certain apps they dont stop using them so they need to be in the socails game not to mention the fact that socials will be used and connected to banks to send money to people and pay for bills and goods and services! so yeah another very highy risk arbitrage area is online financial banks and paymnet companies. this risk arb is simply mergers and acquisitions. see overnight why you are worrying about my positons i am worrying about my money and how to make more with less risk

Have a great night. so aimt got bought out makes you wonder if someone else in the allergy arena will get bought out? hmmm sky is the limit.

grocery stores maybe good buy outs
    oil
    socials
    retail maybe
    reits sure
    casinos yup indan ones hmm
    have fun

risk-arb specifically relates to deals. The arb being the convergence and being essentially mkt neutral.
