Alabama Mom's ObamaCare Horror Story Gives America a Glimpse of Government-Run Healthcare http://www.ijreview.com/2013/12/105...rience-obamacare-open-letter-american-people/ Many of us can identify with the frustrating experience that Karri Kinder, a mother of two from Auburn, Alabama, has had with Obamacare. She penned this open letter to share her story. Shout-out to Yellowhammer News for the article (read more at above url)
What is it going to take to stop the horror stories? Skimpy health law plans leave some "underinsured" http://www.wral.com/skimpy-health-law-plans-leave-some-underinsured-/13268086/ For working people making modest wages and struggling with high medical bills from chronic disease, President Barack Obama's health care plan sounds like long-awaited relief. But the promise could go unfulfilled. It's true that patients with cancer and difficult conditions such as multiple sclerosis or Crohn's disease will be able to get insurance and financial help with monthly premiums. But their annual out-of-pocket costs could still be so high they'll have trouble staying out of debt.
I read he whole story that's tragic how did they not see all this coming? what to do? Just go naked, pay as you go Insurance is now for very wealthy individuals to protect their net worth not for common hardworking families the idea of insurance is not to cut costs or make money just go naked baby just you and the doctor I've only had one trip to the hospital the bill came to about 10k took about 6 months to get it I called up the billing department It was like talking to a used car salesman it ended with him saying, "Well, what can I do to get you to pay in full today?' we settled on 5k on my credit card done
my doctor charges $35 for an office visit not only does he not accept insurance he won't take a credit card or even a personal check just green cash and he has a bag of it in his desk he answers the phone personally when you call and can usually see you that same day if you need a prescription he knows all the prices at all the local pharmacies in his words, "CVS? nah, I'm not going to prescribe you there, that's for people on Medicare, I can get you better price somewhere else."
You do know there are thousands of medical insurance and uninsured people with horror stories pre ACA. Bankruptcy, untreated disease, and deaths were all here before ACA. The website rollout was a failure and there are flaws in the ACA are we better or worse off than before. Probably worse in the short term and will get better once the majority are insured and once they get the bugs worked out much better than before.
Yes, but the ACA was supposed to make things better for people, not worse. Instead, it had taken people's lives that were sane and flipped them upside down. You can state how many issues there were before, but there are more now - for a law that was supposed to fix things, not break more.
Yeah Obama fucked up and most are in agreement on that but that doesn't mean the original objective can't be met. I don't know how much of a rewrite it'll take but heck congress doesn't have anything else to do. They should get to work. And going back to the previous system which was also at least as fucked up shouldn't be an option. Of course IMO.
All the ACA did was take money from hard working taxpayers and their good healthcare plans and lower the standard for everyone just to insure people who won't get off their ass and get a job. Socialism- equal distribution of misery.
Yeah, that's just what we need. Because Congress does such a great job when they "get to work" on things. This is why liberals like yourself fail at most everything. You rely on the government to spoon feed you and make everything better. When anyone with common sense or a history book can see that the government fucks up almost everything they touch.
