"From a Logical Point of View" was first performed by Trinidadian calypsonian The Mighty Sparrow (real name Slinger Francisco). Robert Mitchum then covered it in a similar style.
I remember reading years ago in James Clavell's Shogun that one of the key characters, probably Toranaga, who went on to become Shogun, said to Blackthorne, the protagonist, that a plain-looking wife made for a happier marriage. Something along those lines. I remember the remark giving me pause.
Toranaga's strategic and pragmatic mindset, which is a key part of his character throughout the novel.. We recently started watching the remake but I remember the original and book. I think plain, actively ugly, might go to far
Yeah, for most things, the best in life is probably found somewhere in the middle. EDIT: What does "actively ugly" mean, exactly? Putting one's shoulder into it?
Hopefully the song has adjusted the MAGA to a happier eight years ahead. The British conservatives didn't think they could cope with Maggie and she became their Reagan.
