    1913: The Horrible Year

For all the problems America had prior to 1913 (including the unnecessary and horrifying Civil War), nothing spelled the death of the nation like the horrors of 1913.

Woodrow Wilson, wasn't he a democrat?

If that's how long it takes then it should only matter to immortals.

  5. Oh yeah. He was one bad SOB. Thanks to his giving us the Federal Reserve, it makes him the president to possibly be worse for the US than Odumbo.

On Wilson's death bed, he expressed regret about his involvement in the Fed and offered his apology to the country.

Or those who happen to live in the era when chickens come home to roost. The earth supposedly gets hit by a massive meteor every 25,000 years or so. You only have to be living when that time comes up for it to matter.

You can make the meteor strike matter today, though it's probably centuries off, by worrying about it today.

That's not a fair comparison. To be fair, we would be seeing the meteor in long range telescopes by now, but being told by the government that everything is fine.

We do "see" the meteor, statistically. It's arrival is just as certain as the "chickens coming home to roost".
