That's too much work , I need an indicator that puts price on a straight line with an expansion mechanism that shows me which way price is...

Maybe some just use different words to describe it , so long as it makes them money.
Moving averages works best with the lag removed.
The short term overbought/oversold indicator is good for that.

The moving average is one of the most reliable indicators . . . imo.
