I know nothing. But imo, the value in this thread is what YOU believe it to be.
Sorry to necro this thread, but I also am interested in finding an untranslated copy of book #1. It is no longer on the jpy amazon site. If...
Garage sales... what are the odds of finding an obscure book, by an English author in the states? :D
I know you are not talking about T-H-E Socco... but I think at some point THE Socco would also say it is important to know thyself. Not that HE...
*EDIT* Sorry about that... that embedded image was quite painful on the eyes.
All traders need someone to take the other side of the trade :D
That's fair. I could be relying on my limited sample size of noticing people deflect from the question over the years. Small clarification, but...

My man. Your examples have been helpful in figuring this out. Some of the notation you were using I was confused by, but nonetheless, I will post...
This should be simple. There has to be a simple equation for this. I'm trying to reword the problem, or simplify it, I really just don't think I...
Is the percent of the account value the same as margin used? I do not think they are? I do not want to solve for a percent of my account value,...
Let's say for this example, if price moves 30pips against my entry, I want my USED MARGIN to be at 10%.
It depends on how much you buy. For AUD/USD, 10,000 units is worth $1.00.
If that is what you are referring to as the entry price - stop price. 0.7150-0.7120 = 0.0030 = 30 pips
Didn't you say that is the difference between the entry and stop? Is that not the 30 pips value? Or are you talking about something else?
Pair: Aud/Usd Direction: Buy Entry Price: 0.7150 Stop Price: 0.7120 Stop Size: 30 pips Assume: Margin requirement/Leverage: 2% / 50:1
In an attempt to reword the problem I am trying to solve again. I would like to know, given a specific STOP SIZE(E.g. 20 pips)... How many units...
Not saying its wrong, as I could simply be screwing it up, but I'm not getting the correct answer.
So what is the formula, while factoring in your unrealized?
