I interviewed at Saxon some time ago... they are setting up a stock team but are only looking for experienced traders with proven P+L to head it up..

The Question i was asking was... Why do canadians not trade Futures...? not why do UK traders not trade stoxx... the Prop splits in futures...

No one ...it's not needed.... On clients/customers just "professional" traders
trust me there is always a cost to trading .... All Saxon's traders are self employed and do not get a salary ... they may get a draw...
it can take a new trader anything up to a year to become profitable... so you have to support yourself for that time..
That is how prop works
I'm not sure, but i heard both the offices are full of traders... so it can't be to unfair...
