I joined not expecting to actually get funded they had a sale(trying to attract customers i guess the community is not very active) but to see if I could pass as I was going through a draw down at the time and decided to reduce size on my personal trading.

The Pros are the criteria to get funded is simple trade for a min of 15/30 days and reach the target, trade consistent(your largest trade must less than the sum of 3 of your trades(obviously you would pick the second, third, and fourth...

Why do people sell S&P index options

when you could just sell VIX futures that are apparently much more profitable over the long haul? Like all the VIX funds and ETFs, VXXB, VIXY, UVXY, TVIX, they spiral towards zero, in the case of the last one I think to the tune of almost 100% a year over time. Why not just sell the VIX futures over time instead of selling S&P options, which seem to be much less profitable?

Orders in someone else's account not visible to them

Is there a way I could use CQG to place trades in another person's
account so that they do not see the actual orders I place?
I was thinking of the Replicator AlgoOrder but does it have a feature to
hide the orders from the user of the account the orders are copied to?
Basically, I would like to trade in someone else's account but at the
same time to prevent that person from seeing the orders I place in their
account.

CQG said it could be set up from an FCM back...

We'll gents, I'm done. I have put my time in and I can't consistently make it work. Yes I can make money and yes I can lose it but I can't make it "work" as they say. It's ok, I'm one of the fortunate ones who was careful and didn't punt myself into oblivion. Anyway, I'm a survivor but I didn't get what I wanted out of this trading thing, I wonder how many do.

I have a coded entry filter

However, this entry filter affects ALL markets selected during backtest. I want to add another entry filter which affects some markets...

This coming Friday will be my last day at my company of thirteen plus years. The company builds and sells SDKs and SAAS products centered around digital imaging. I have learned a great deal about what it takes to build, sell and support software. Time to take what I have learned and apply it to my own ideas. Having a family and children (one under 5 years old), my scarcest commodity is time. Not for long!

I will post a series of thoughts... this one is quite significant, about sentiment.

sentiment can be measured by many things... this is one of my favorite... notice the sp is back to about mid october '18 level now, but what happened to the retail positions - significant increase in shorts.

For those who are not familiar with this indicator... in almost all of 2017 it was about 9:1 short:long, which explains why we had a smooth rise......
