This is a re-post since I posted the old one on the wrong forum.

Is it possible for stop orders for U.S. stocks to be triggerred in the pre-market and after-hours market?

I'm not talking about stop-limit orders, but stop orders.

My guess is no, but I'd like confirmation on that.

Use a stop limit order with a wide limit if you want to simulate a stop order in extended hours.
