To add to the drama, some are trying to claim a 5-year cycle is going on. On October 9th, 2007, the SPX & Dow made their all-time highs. On October 9th, 2002, the SPX and Dow made a long-term bottom. The same guy who rang the bell on October 9, 2007, rang it again on October 9, 2012.
