Hello ladies and gents,

I have a question regarding the best way to go about finding the cost to trade various foreign exchanges. I'm gathering this data to figure out the minimum return needed for various foreign equities.

Data points I need to know include:

-entry and exit commissions

-the average bid ask spread for a foreign stocks: large (>$10b), mid ($2-10 b), and
small cap (500m-2b)

-degree of access for foreign investors

-shorting margin interest rates

-slippage factor

This is an internship assignment btw...and I really have no idea where to start. I haven't come across too much of this information online. Can I call up a broker/bank and ask for the figures? I need info for about 30 different exchanges.

Willing to help you out in any way possible in exchange for advice. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-CKA

You can find almost all of that on the Interactive Brokers site under Fees. They offer as many foreign markets as anyone.
