It really doesn't do you any good to have a weapon in the car, except while you're in the car yourself.

There is a youtube video of a young lady who testified before congress on the subject. She was caught in a shooting while dining in a restaurant and, if I'm not mistaken, she had left her handgun in the car.

He must mean the "Barney Fife" video. But he does shoot himself in the foot a lot and it seems very appropiate to me. Only a moron would consider that a threat of violence.
