I have a project for a programmer with experience with VB. Must be in the Chicago area and prefer someone with experience with Redi.

VB? You mean VIsual Basic - the system that was retired about 10 years ago when .NET came? (note: the name in .NET is VB.NET - NOT VB, which stands for VB6).

Why does anyone still start new projects in that crap?

is .net any faster than vb6?
one of the reason could be to support\modify existing application.
another one-if you know vb6,but have no clue about .net-how you going to check the project? to see what's in it and how the things works?

it's not the language, it's the mentality of the VB ppl.

p.s. still a lot of shitty finance systems in vb6.
