Just because I like fairy tales...
Quote from marketsurfer:
I know I have the original, first edition complete version directly from the source.
Surf, since you are generally entertaining, would you mind sharing with us the story how you obtained a legal copy? Since it was only broadcasted and never released, I am really curious what kind of story you could come up with. Mind you, buying secondhand a recorded copy from the original broadcast is not technically legal...
And if you say PTJ or the director gave you as a gift, I am going to ask for a handwritten letter or something as proof...
So I am going to sit back and wait for the tale of:
Surf and the PTJ tape
Soon to be listen on:

yes, it was released.
Alright, then you wouldn't mind to take a camera picture of your copy and post it here?
(Honestly, I was expecting a much more interesting tale.)

Hey, check this out what I have found on Amazon, this was a Canadian series and it got really good reviews:
http://www.amazon.com/Traders-Compl...01341016&sr=1-4

""Traders" appeals on so many levels - drama, comedy, romance, intrigue, suspense. But how can a show about a bunch of people in banking, stock trading, investment, and finance be exciting? I don't know, but this show surely is! Whether they are at their computer monitors on the trading floor tracking the ticker or in the boardroom handling the fate of unsuspecting others or on location assessing the value of some investment, these characters are intriguing, addictive, appealing, and believable. Some are young upstarts; some are old-timers with lots of experience; some are in the "game" for the thrill; some are in it for the money."
It has 5 seasons, only 1 aviable at Amazon. Originally aired in Canada in 1996...

I watched the series for a while. It was pretty good. But it wasn't just about trading. As I recall, it was largely about investment banking, people screwing each other over, some office politics and so on.

If you have some experience, this video should be the icing on the cake. It paid immediate dividends for me. I recognized that even someone like PTJ has to work to sit on his hands.
It validated to me that the way I learned to read price action the way I did, was completely valid. PTJ is a Gannalyst. Amazing. Prolly the reason Surf was a Gannalyst too.
It validated to me that sometimes trades just don't work, so there is no need to go tweaking your system if you take a loss or two. Adjust your risk position size instead to maintain small losses and big gains.
If I ever trade stocks or futures, which is unlikely, I learned not to dump a big order right on the market or they will cannibalize me. Much like what happened to LTCM. They died because they could not get out.
Negative news that should affect the market but doesn't is a signal to be looking for longs, and vice versa.
Just a great video if you have the pre-requisites to absorb all the info.
