I will pay u $ 5 for it.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate it. But just to clarify, it was my error to omit the word 'Pro' from this item's initial description.

So what I have for sale for $50, because I cannot keep it and they won't take it back, is new unopened 64-bit Windows 7 Professional OEM with activation keys noted as being inside. I have to buy an identical but unbranded replacement so if you happen to also know of a deal on Pro, let us know.

The retailer refuses to take it back.

You ought to tell us who the retailer is so others can avoid the same issue. I am in the process of building a new trading laptop, so this would be a concern for me.

I do plan on purchasing most of what I need from Newegg. I assume you did not purchase from them.

Correct. The retailer's description wasn't specific; it only stated that it was "branded." Well, I thought that meant it had the retailer's brand, which would have been fine. Now I know.

I have full retail, upgrade and OEM versions. In fact, here is my WinXP pro OEM Dell branded disc ( I build all of my own machines):

The OEM install is fully validated through the MS Genuine Advantage Tool (which all installs must go through) and updates just fine. As long as your COA was sealed the install will be fine and you won't have any problems.
