Mr Grund or Londonkid i would really appreciate some advice.

I was with a semi-reputable arcade for about 6 months but then bailed early last year when it was obvious the volume wasn't coming back. I've had about 2/3yrs of experience in other market roles before that but now i can't seem to generate any interest from employers or recruiters in non-trading roles, like software vendors, exchanges, trade support etc.

So what would you do if you were looking for a non-trading role in the industry?

The tax issue can be solved by going to kyte, they are registered as a spread betting company so profits are tax free. You trade on the normal platforms as usual.

Tax free? isnt there VAT added to the software vendor? I thought there was.Forgive me if I am wrong... you are now on the database....

I was referring to income tax on trading profits which is a lot greater than vat on software.
