Dear sirs, I have a question regarding the hypothetical growth of Vanguard's EDV Fund:

Please see the hypothetical growth graph shows new highs in the past year.

But looking at stock chart http://www.google.com/finance?q=edv, the late 2008 highs were never neared.

What is the reason for this?

reinvested dividends?

they paid plenty of them. at least according to yahoo.

and around 0.8 -0.9 every quarter.
