It wouldn't surprise me if over half of that growth is just in the last 10 years or so. 20 years of EOD data is smaller then 1 year of 60 second ticks.

I am curious,
Do you boot all your machines from the network share instead of from the local disk? What software do you use to monitor all the machines health, Nagios, etc?
