Hi All,

New to the forum and was wondering if I could get some advice.

I've been trading VXX/SPY and several other pairs on a discretionary basis and am now looking to write some code and develop a systematic trading system for these strategies.

I'm looking for software which has IB API connectivity. Ideally, it should also be easy to use and have as much built in functionality as possible - e.g. readily available indicators (EMA/Bollinger Bands/etc.) so I don't have to script these myself.

I've had a play around with NinjaTrader so far and it seems alright for what I'm going to use it for. However, with the vast amount of software available, I'm sure there are better programs out there and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Don't mind expensive software if it delivers.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think your automated trading would be ok if you only use default EMA/Bollinger Bands kind of indicators.

I did not know NinjaTrader works with IB, is it?

You can take a look at www.marketcetera.com
