He and I (to a lesser extent) use the basic indicators during the day. Ticks, and listening to Ben Lichtenstein (shameless plug for www.tradersaudio.com) whom my brother will not trade without on a daily basis.
He would buy and sell 50 or 100 lots many time per day, and carry on and trade at 3AM our time as well. Takes advantage of the overnight volatility.
This year, SPY's pretty much the same dollar amounts.
