All I am permitted to say by the homeowners' association bylaws is the following code words for local nightlife:
a cute but smelly overnight visitor we refer to in code as a "Skunk"
one who has thin legs and yips in excitement we call a "Coyote"
a hairy-legged one is a "Tarantula"
the ones that wear too much eye makeup we call "Raccoons"
the ones that just want to lay around and have lots of babies we call "Possums"
the early risers are "Roosters"
if we find one bloated and belly-up in the street after a rough night, those are "Armadillos"
Pretty exciting nights here. In Austin they pass out early and miss all that.
Oh, and my wife says the neighborhood has more than its share of "Toads".
