The old USA, you mean like a return to thrift (both personal & govt) and meritocracy?

That's all I want.
Thrift makes sense for very nearly everybody but I don't think we ever had meritocracy.. lodge buddies promoted lodge buddies, blacks/amerinds/latinos were excluded no matter the level of their talent, etc...

I think they are seeing this. Mittens has thrown the hard right completely under the bus during the debate cycle. Now, he is a man that a lot of folks would vote for.

And folks like pt know this. The old boy club is what they are fighting for, they precisely DO NOT WANT a meritocracy.
