I've read many articles like the one above. I'm not a believer and I just don't care to debate Christians or jews anymore, we can live with each other just fine.
If you want to argue, why not argue with those who are a real threat to everyone - the muslims? If half the energy that goes into opposing atheists went towards putting doubt into muslims, it woiuld be much more productive. Then I would spend more time trying to shut up the children like foulthinker who thinks we live in 1350.

Right. Heck, my GF believes in ghosts. I really do not care. But I think it bugs her (just a little) that I do not. I'm not interested in "convincing" her otherwise (AKA "fixing" her) and I'm not about to be swayed by her one story. It's the same thing. If someone wants to believe in ghosts or MLM or eating scoops of vitamin C or that weirdo water from the health food store, go ahead. But it is curious when my belief bugs them.

Why does it bother you that others have their religious beliefs?

Atheists are really stupid. They follow a guy or his theory. The guy then changes his mind. If he informs them of his mind change, they become disgusted. If he does not update them, they continue believing in what the guy used to tell them he believed in.
Atheism exists only because there are atheists who talk about a variant of atheism and a thousand idiots follow them (and not because there is some truth behind atheism). Future generations will look at current atheists, and wonder what the heck went in their mind to believe such stupid things.
