I am trying to get my head around swing trading after having experimented with longer term methods for some time. I am using the floor trader method (http://www.trading-naked.com/FloorTraderMethod.htm) for FTSE 100 stocks with slight modifications. I have added a 50 period SMA to help ensure I am trading with the trend, and I take profits at the previous swing high/low (so looking for trades which have a potential R:R of >= 1:1)
Entry and stop loss at either end of the bar which gave the entry signal.
I know this site is US based and mostly frequented by day trade enthusiasts so not expecting too many people to care about some dude swing trading the FTSE 100, but any comments are most welcome, God knows I could use them.
So far I have closed four trades with a win rate of 0%, so not a great start. Hopefully it's down the choppy markets we've been having.
