Our club has several traders from the Atlanta area that attend our club meetings online where they are able to interact with other traders in the chat room, ask who is in the room from there area, and ask the presenters questions as well about the charts and trading strategies that are being shown during the club webcast. If you want more info, you can attend the next webcast we are having this Saturday morning and ask people in the room, if they are from the Atlanta area since I know we have some people that will be in this meeting from Atlanta because of the registrations I have got. Also you have a local traders club where traders get together in person in Atlanta by the name of the Market Technicians Associaton. The person who runs that MTA chapter is Tim Snavely, 404-926-5473, jtsnavely@comcast.net

Recent corporate dropout(pharma) to pursue this full-time. Been hard...with most of the work needed on me.

His aggressive trading style definitely showed a lot of promise.
I lost touch with him a while back, but I'm sure he's probably done very well for himself over the past few years.

I thought there was a trader by that name in a prop firm in buckhead. I think the name of the prop was ETG.

Mark Barton was with Momentum and, I believe, some other firm before that. There is a monthly business school meetup that has a lot of institutional traders/ firms represented.

Mark Orrin Barton (1955 - July 29, 1999) was a spree killer from Stockbridge, Georgia, who, on July 29, 1999, shot and killed nine people and injured 13 more. The shootings occurred at two Atlanta day trading firms -- Momentum Securities and the All-Tech Investment Group. It is believed that Barton, a daytrader, was motivated by $105,000 USD in losses over the previous two months. Barton committed suicide four hours later at an Acworth gas station, having been spotted by the police. He was ordered to stop at a gas station, but shot himself before the police could reach him.

Immediately prior to entering the manager's office at All-Tech, Barton was heard to say: "I hope this doesn't ruin your trading day."

It's not expensive. Pull into the main entrance of the PDK airport and drive to the end of that street. You'll see EPPS on the left and Mercury on the right. There used to be access to the restaurant from the outside but that may have been closed. If so go into the older building on the left of the parking lot and proceed upstairs.

I'd like to show tomorrow but I'll be in Ball Ground and it's going to be tough to get out of the office.

They have great hamburgers. Sort of a country club airport. Private planes etc. Easy in, easy out.

That sounds good. I go there all the time to eat lunch. I especially like to go to Borders and look at all their books. There is lots of development around that area. I have to go there a lot to meet developers and builders.
