I've been using this software for a little over a week. It's been rock solid so far, but there are things about the software configuration that just don't make sense to me. For the type of trading I do, I don't think I can use this platform long term.
I came up with about a dozen problems with the interface, and as far as I can tell, they can't be fixed. A couple of frustrating examples--if I want to delete a list of symbols from a quote list, I have to left click with my mouse, then right click, then scroll down to 'delete'--one symbol at a time. On a given day, I may have over 100 stocks on this list. With other software programs, I just went to the top of the page, right clicked and held down the delete key--the entire list would be cleared in the time it takes me to delete one stock with DASTrader. Another issue--when I enter a stock for trading, I may not have time to change my order route. I like to leave it as 'ARCA limit' by default. But often, the supposed 'default' changes back to market. So I could miss a trade if it's after hours, and I don't see that the route has been changed.
There are just too many of these problems for me to recommend this software. For some traders, these issues probably aren't a big deal. Definitely get a trial before you open an account with a broker that uses this software. |

DAS has enough historical data enabling a user to plot the larger moving averages on several intraday charts such as the 15 min and hourly, whereas many other platforms cannot. Also, DAS interface is very customizable and user friendly. Their tech support is quite responsive and helpful. In summary, it's a great platform for active traders. |

I have used DAS Trader at Alliance Investments, and it performs wonderfully. Many routes available, many options for charting. If there is anything wrong with your data feed, the people at DAS will always work with you to make sure you get correct quotes. I made a request for pivot points in the charts and they included them in their last release :) |

DAS is easy to use and quite stable. However it has some terrible bugs. Some examples: - Sometimes order execution is very slow. - DAS gets confused when you use other software when trading (like internet explorer). - It doesn't save some settings. - When you click the size in the L2 your size will change to this size :) And there are a few other bugs..
Apart from these bugs, I'm happy! |

I have to give credit to DAS for giving me access to 30 routes. I have been on 4 to 5 direct access systems. But this is the first one that has the most routing. Also love the level 2 pinksheet data. |
