This was the first log-in failure I have encountered in three years. Lasted all of 45 minutes. And Pension had my balance incorrect, one time. Once in three years would not be a pattern of bad behavior. MB Trading is a very good broker. |

Navigator is a decent program, but the broker's servers go down when market volume surges. Which makes it very unreliable. Their clearing agent, Penson also has numerous problems. Today it was login failure. Some days the balances are wrong. |

I received in my e-mail inbox the new cost structure from MB and the title "New Low Price Leader". Several have PMd me to post when I learned of any rate changes. As I have it here:
Emini Futures are $2.25 a contract no minimum..says compares with $2.40 per contract from IB and $2.50 with Tradestation.
Mini-Sized Dow are $2.00 per contract no minimum compared with IB at $2.06 per contract and $2.50 with Tradestation
Equities are 1-500 shares 1c a share and 500+ shares are .005c a share, same as IB and Tradestation (except the .006c a shares for 500+)
Equity Options (priced at 10 cents or more per contract) is $1.00 per contract no minimum..same as IB and against $1.20 from Tradestation (TS shows $12.00 minimum).
No Software Platform Fees. I believe this means with 5 trades or more. The smart route MBTX. Free SDK and API for Quotes and Orders (although I'm not sure they offer historical data which some scanners need) and GlobalOne Account access for equities, futures and options.
Disclaimer: I do not submit to the accuracy of the data derived from IB or Tradestation, just passing along the contents of the email I received. If you want more info on this, you need to contact MBTrading.com
Regards,

MBT continues to work well for me overall. I had plenty of emails from ET members asking about various MB features, etc. since they know I use them. Rather than emailing all of you back, two changes. Futures rates are being lowered come January 1 and YM (Dow Futures) is available for trading now also. Continue to email me if you have questions further down the road. |

I had mentioned that the MBTX route before was kinda quirky with it's inability to do well under faster conditions. For the past month, this has not been the case and the MBTX smart route really has become a top notch route for when my normal routing routine ARCA/ISLD either is down or I have to make a fast entry on the execution key. With the universal account management, the customer service, the integration into other platforms and now the better functionality of the MBTX route, MBT's Navigator continues to be a great tool for me. |
