Ive been using neovest for many years, and recently discovered their IOG module (intelligent order generator)..enables turning scanning results into orders on an AUTOexecution basis, with fully integrated (customizable) risk management feature...trailing stops, 2nd level trade management rules, etc...tech support, in the personage of Jerry and Nate, is great |

For true real time filtering I don't think there is currently a better product out there. Neovest has done a good job stream-lining this product to work well over the internet. |

I have used the regular product for a year and a half and it does almost everything you could possibly want except some miminal backtesting which would be useful. It is extremely robust and very easy to use. If you have an idea you can usually design a filter from that idea in about 20-30 minutes time, often much less.
The product does require a ton of ram and bandwidth but I had it filtering 10,000 plus stocks every few seconds and some groups of stocks tick by tick...so what would someone expect.
The thin product is a different story, however it still compares pretty favorably to a plethora of other products out there.
However if you have the bucks and the bandwidth you definitely want to get the full version IMO.
Especially if you like to tweak the filters.
One comment on the support as well. The process of building the filters themselves is fairly easy, but I have needed help with a few from time to time and they have always been very good with getting back to me quickly. From time to time I have even just said....look I have this idea....here it is, do you think we can build something like that. And they work on it....and usually they do.
So for what is worth. I find the fat version the best filtering software outthere.

Neovest's new thin version is absolutely worthless if you have any interest in filtering more than a tiny number of stocks. IMO, their market data is very latent, the filter results are much slower than the "fat" version, and their support never seems to do anything with the constructive feedback they receive. |

I finally had to call it quits with Neovest. Too much down time and then the charts are screwed up all day. The support sucks except for a guy named Jerry. |
