I orgionally recommened this software in a review from 2002. This is as update to that review. As others others mentioned and I can attest to, the support for this software had all but disentegrated over the last year. Very few firms were using and my understanding is that one of the guys that orgionally owned it recently bought the software back.
While it does still posses some features that are unique, instaquote, sterling, realtick, etc. have largely caught up to it.
Instinet appears to have re-labeled the orgional program, instinet trading portal but it lacks some of the features that I had reviewed to have liked so much about gr8trade.
Would be interested to know if anyone out there is using it (or even can use it anymore) other than zonetraining in TX. |

This platform has not been supported in a very long time . . . In fact, it is down to only two quote servers and on many occasions during the week a trader will come across crossed markets, bad quotes, latency issues, etc. Scalping NYSE names is virtually impossible.
Avoid like the Plague!
Don't even waste your time with this platform, no matter who currently offers it. Avoid it like the PLAGUE! |

I had been very satisfied with this software up untill this latest release. Quotes are slow and only get slower as the day progresses |

Despite the previous poster's comments, I think the software works well. They have spent months incorporating new features. They developed their own SIAC ticker plant. The quotes are reliable now. Documentation of features is a little light. Most features are user defined. That is, I set it up as I want it not like the REDI I used to use where the only real choices I had were colors. The tech people in Austin are helpful. I think the merger with ETG will bring a new level of professionalism. |
