This is one of the best software packages I have used for NYSE trading. The execution is extremely quick. It allows you to send orders through 3 different DOT providers, so if one is down, you can keep on trading, which is really nice. The other software packages I have used, at other firms, have one provider, and if that provider goes down, you just sit around and wait for them to get back up, while your positions move against you.

Knock off of M-Trade with quotes that look like Real Tick. System is only outdone by lack of support from staff. While helpful when you reach them, just try to get someon on the phone when you really need them. Graybox is clumsy with its pop-up order entry window. Compare it to the new T-2 from Sonic. Then you'll really see what speed in execution looks like. It blows GBox away.

This software is hard to understand and use. To send out an order I have to pull up a window using one of the function keys and then use the mouse to send an order. It looks like something that would be good when preferencing market makers was the best way to trade. Unfortunatly for them, Selectnet no longer exists. So far I've been disapointed. Is there anyone else out there who uses this? What happened to the reviews of this company on this site?

What I found perplexing about this software was the order entry. You couldn't just click on a price in the montage and direct it to buy x # of shares at y price. You had to do everything through hot keys. Plus I couldn't get the Graybox to link with Real Tick like it was supposed to.

The order entry is pretty quick when you train your fingers--and it's generally faster than mouse clicks, but that depends on which system you're comparing it too.
